Subject: Android app for Heisig's Remembering Simplified Hanzi
I just put my “Heisig Helper” app on the Android Market. If you have an Android phone, just search for “Heisig Helper” in Market or scan the QR code on the website http://www.heisighelper.com. If people buy this app I’ll put one up for the Traditional characters as well.

Subject: Heisig and Richardson a hit
After reading the sample pages, I went ahead and got my hands on a copy of the "simplified" hanzi book by Richardson and Heisig. Wow! Why would ANYBODY want to waste time studying in the traditional way? Unlike the cutsey little drawings that are supposed to help you remember, the method makes me pay attention to every detail of every stroke--and learn it in record time. They also give me the confidence that I will be able to complete the full 3,00 with total recall.
One more thing: I am really GLAD I took the trouble to read the long introduction. It gives me confidence that when I make my own adjustments along the way I know what I am doing.
Thanks to a great team for a great book.

I have just read the PDF book preview of Remembering Hanzi by Heisig & Timothy and I think this is the best I have seen to learn Hanzi.

I will be trying to get the simplified version ASAP. Absolutely brilliant!

James W. Heisig & Timothy W. Richardson are publishing these two books:

Remembering Simplified Hanzi
Remembering Traditional Hanzi

So you can now use the famous Heisig method for learning Chinese characters. And you can choose which style you want to learn, simplified or traditional. Each course will come with 1500 characters in the first volume and 1500 in the second volume.  But the first volume will include the 1000 most frequent characters. So if you get burnt-out half way through, it will still have been worth your while.

A pdf file containing the book introduction and first lessons can be found here.

We look forward to having some reviews of the Remembering the Hanzi books.
