Subject: Tattoo meaning?
I could really use some help!  When I was very young and apparently quite naive I got a tatoo on my arm in kanji characters.  I told the tatoo artist I wanted the middle one to be love, and then one to the left of that to mean lane and the one to the right to mean destiny...now as an adult I really would like to verify what these really mean but can't figure out how to post a pic of it....can anyone help me?

Subject: 命愛萊
The left character is this one: meanings: fate; command; decree; destiny; life; appoint
The middle character is this: meanings: love; affection; favourite
The character on the right is: meanings: goosefoot; weed; fallow field; Chenopodium album

I could not find a character with the meaning "lane."
Now the question everybody will want to ask, why lane?

If you follow the link, you can see that character is used in the names of some cities, so there isn't anything wrong with it.  It might also be used in street names, but I can't verify that right now.

I wonder why they use the symbol for goosefoot in the names of cities...
